  • Congrats to Trump – Job Well Done!

Donald Trump’s efforts, as outlined in the Fox News, shows the herculean efforts to get Canada to move on all his demands. Truly a remarkable achievement.

Except for one thing. Most it was agreed to already before the tariffs. The only new item I don’t recognize from before the tariffs was the new role of a Fentanyl Czar.

I guess it was important to have someone monitor the meager amount of Fentanyl crossing into the US from Canada. I want that job!!!!!

  • What Will Trump Do Next

So Trump and Trudeau are set to talk today at 3 p.m.

    How will this go?

    1. Trump will defer tariffs much like what he did to Mexico.
      • I consider this the most likely scenario but it’ll come with some promises by Trudeau for some half-baked requests that Trump makes. Like “I want Canada to join the USA” in which case the response to Trump should be a clear “Fuck off!”
      • So this was the outcome of today’s call. Trump blinked when he realized the devastating impact it was having on the stock market. And we all know that the stock market is an important measure of his Presidency. The Weiner-in-Chief’s bravado and tough-guy image overplayed his so called “common sense”. So now we have been granted a 30-day extension to appease his every whim. So do I think we’ll be into tariffs nonetheless? That’s a tough one. We know he considers tariffs a source of income for his precious government regardless of giving a thought to the impact it has on the common folk. But that’s Trump. He’s got his billions and is looking for ways to get more cash out of the system and in his pocket. But if he goes the tariff route (his plan all along) he has to soft pedal it to minimize stock market fluctuation. And of course, because his head (apart from being solidly up his ass) is stuck in distributive bargaining so he’ll be looking at maximum gain for his image. Stay tuned. I suspect as the days go on through the 30-day reprieve we will get a better sense if Canada is headed to tariff country. Until then, BUY CANADIAN, CANCEL ANY AMERICAN SUBSCRIPTIONS & TRIPS and hope that our Canadian governments and industries look for alternate (and more stable) trading paartners. If we learned anything, the USA is not that.
    2. Tariffs will proceed as planned
      • Begs the question then of what was asked for to warrant a 2nd call today following the call this morning
    3. Trump will cancel all tariffs
      • Not likely because that would suggest a Trump defeat
    4. Trump will counter with additional tariffs because of Canada’s retaliatory tariffs.
      • In which case Canada should consider next steps carefully

The whole tariff actions of the USA is a surreal. Canada doesn’t have an issue with illegal drug smuggling or immigrant migration at the Canadian border.

This is all about Trump wanting to take over Canada.

Regardless of what’s next, one next step is for certain. Canada must begin looking for alternate countries to trade with. The USA is in decline. And with a crazy man at the helm with unpredictable behaviour and the hostility he has shown to Canada, it’s time to move.

  • Week 3 of Trump’s and He Continues to Screw Things Up

Trump’s bluff on tariffs is just that, a bluff.

    https://www.cnn.com/2025/02/03/business/tariffs-trump-imports-us/index.html

So apparently, according to the delusional diva himself, tariffs were being applied because of high levels of immigrants and drugs crossing the borders.

Figures from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) show the agency seized 19.5 kilograms of fentanyl at the northern border last year, compared to 9,570 kilograms at the southwestern one.

So Canada allows 0.2% to that of Mexico to be smuggled in and yet Mexico gets a 1 month extension before tariffs are applied.

Furthermore, Canada gets the same 25% tariff that Mexico was given.

Which tells me one simple thing and that is that for Canada, it’s all about annexation. Trump is looking for a way to get into the history books by being the grand dealmaker for the acquisition of Canada.

Further supported by the fact that he is now using the excuse of American banks not being allowed in Canada for why he is applying a tariff. Trump is pathetic.
